Em 1896 os filmes meramente “paisagens” começam a cansar. É necessário uma história interessante, seja por modos fantásticos (Méliès), brincadeiras com cores e perspectiva (Serpentine Dance), estudos de personagens, mesmo que primários (Bataille de boules de neige), questões sociais (A Morning Bath) ou avanços de gramática, principalmente nos EUA (quarta parede em The Lone Fisherman e close-up em THe Kiss). No geral, uma lista que eu gosto bastante.
